Last night was really something... I went to bed all happy and comfy, because I changed my sheets, and now have the cotton satin sheets and duvet I love best.    Oh, I really wish it would just start raining... The sky is overcast, the humidity is 82 %, but it just won't rain... I just called my mom, and she said it's raining where they live, a 20 minute drive from my place, so it's just a question of time, I hope.

   Yes, I didn't blog yesterday. It was a great day though, with a very nice visit from two of my friends, and the little boy of one of them. My goddaughter (the boy's older sister) was sick, unfortunately, so she couldn't come, and was sad about it. I sent her good wishes and some cookies, candy, and a bun, to cheer her up.

   I got the job:). I'm not terribly surprised, because I do have some experience, and they seemed willing to hire me based on the phone call, but nevertheless, it feels good to be appreciated, if only on trial.    The good news for today is that I heard back from a prospective employer. It wasn't the translation job, more's the pity, but the telephone survey place. A quick Google search revealed no hidden skeletons in the firm's cupboards, so I think I can try this one out.    This was a great day in many respects. We went to the park with my friends and the almost 2 year old boy. His sister has a stomach flu, so she stayed at home with her dad.    There should really be a song called Castles in the air, don't you think? It's such a lovely phrase, and so descriptive of fantasies about beautiful and completely unreal things.    I was so tired today, that I didn't even get to the grocery store. I had to cook lentil stew again, and it turned out ok, considering. First, the knife I used for chopping the onion was too dull, so I had to experiment with two other knives. Then I managed to scorch the onion pieces, and couldn't be bothered to chop another one.    I went swimming with a friend of mine today. There's a public indoor swimming pool near by where I live, but I never go swimming by myself, I want company. I got a cramp in my foot about halfway through our time there, and my friend told me to drink something, because apparently dehydration can cause cramps.
